Old bras - recycle or charity?

In the past I've seen bras being recycled for charity like breast cancer. Does anyone know anywhere that is taking old bras for such a thing? I have lots to throw out but would prefer to recycle them or have a charity benefit..

I'd give them to a charity - something with overseas work such as Oxfam or Save the Children - and they will hopefully work their way overseas. There's often not so much call for second hand bras in the uk but in refugee areas, they can be very much wanted. I've friends who work in international relief and have worked in the camps and they've told me that women in refugee camps really appreciate bras - people here often just bin them so charities don't have a great supply but when you've lost all your stuff a bra can really add to your physical comfort and feeling of dignity. That's what they tell me, anyway.

My local charity shops are very keen for bras as they sell them to other countries.

This is great thank you - I'll pop them along to my local oxfam Grin
