Compact foundations

Hi, after some advice/recommendations. I have recently run out of my supply of virgin vie one step face base (when I heard the company had gone into liquidation, I stocked up!!). I have been using a liquid foundation instead but it's giving me spots again.

I think the slightly drier consistency of compact foundations works better for my oily skin, but I have no idea which ones are any good.

Could anyone recommend me a good foundation, with medium/full coverage? Under £30 would be a bonus :)

Thanks

I use Max Factor FaceFinity Compact. It's not cakey or powdery and you can build up to the coverage you need. Am just about to repurchase it for 3rd time.

I've tried loads of compact foundations, some bloody expensive, some not so, and I always go back to the Max Factor Facefinity. It's about a tenner and it's by far the best I've tried. You can build the coverage up if you need to. Try it. It's pretty good!

I used to use the one step face base many many years ago and loved it. Most liquid bases cause me to break out. I have been using L'Oreal True Match Mineral foundation. It isn't a compact base, its a powder which you swirl on your skin - gives pretty good coverage and you can conceal with it and its about the only base that doesn't cause me spots.

I went to Boots to check out colours and then ordered from Amazon, it's £8 something on there.

DD swears by the no 7 one. It is on offer at moment. £ 14.00 with second one half price. Honey beige is a lovely colour if you are fair skinned. Gives great coverage.

Just ordered the facefinity after a swift sneaky trip to boots yesterday. Thanks all for your help x
