How I shop

I don't think I'm 'normal' :(

I rarely go out so I don't go and buy things for an event or whatever, I just wander round the shops to add things to my wardrobe Confused

In my head it means I then have a variety of trousers, skirts, tops, jackets etc to choose from in my wardrobe. In reality I just keep buying stuff.

Can anyone relate to this method or are you all doing something differently?

I actually hate shopping. it makes me anxious and feel ugly and abnormal! I always say I shop like a man - dash in (early before the crowds), buy what I need quickly and then run away again. Hell, in my view is somewhere like Westfield or Bluewater.

However I do like internet shopping. It is my friend. I'd probably be naked without it!

But I do have a wardrobe full of random articles, like you OP and need to do a cull. I was inspired by the recent "dress like an architect" thread and will be thinking architect for future purchases.

Sounds like a plan dido

I'll go and find the architect thread too.

Yeah, and then I end up with lots of tops (because they're easy to try on) and no trousers (because they're too much hassle to try on).

I'm the opposite six! I'm all bottoms and no tops (other than teeshirts and cardis) because everything makes me feel busty.

I'm currently buying lots of jersey dresses as they let me bulge and don't need ironing. And can look reasonably smart for work. (And I have a jolly good pair of sturdy cycling shorts style pants for holding the excess in)

I love jersey dresses but I need knee-length ones to cover my wrinkles.

Today I am wearing a jersey maxi dress. Covers almost everything! (Although someone on here said I might look like Wee Willie Winkie. Nah!)

I can relate to this. My wardrobe is a random mis match of bargains!
