Volume for greasy hair?

Can anyone recommend a shampoo that gives volume and shine to fine hair but which also prevents greasy roots after 2 days? The Elvive Fibrology makes me itch and other thickening shampoos that I 've tried tend to feel horrible by day 2.. Would just like to get one extra day without having to apply loads of dry shampoo!

I wasn't keen on Fibrology either.
I use www.superdrug.com/Hair/Shampoos/Everyday-Shampoo/Essence-ULT%C3%8EME-Omega-Repair-Shampoo-250ml/p/886967#.U-zFFmMgvKc which probably is not what you're looking for - but the shine shampoo (with pink/white packaging) is pretty good. There's also a volume version but I haven't tried it.

If you use conditioner in your roots, that might cause your hair to get greasy quicker. You could instead try one of the protein/keratin hair masks as they don't seem to make the hair as greasy (the one in the range I've linked to is very good).

Also, using too much shampoo gives me really greasy hair much quicker.

A hair oil used sparingly in the lengths of the hair can give shine - and if you only use a little bit and not in the roots, it shouldn't look greasy. I like the Dove dry oil for hair.

Thanks Carpaccio I will have a look at the Superdrug shampoo- how long can you go between shampoos using it? I will look at the hair mask too, I don't use conditioner as it makes my hair flat as well as greasy but do sometimes use a dry oil on the ends when nearly dry (It's shoulder length) or coconut oil on the ends before shampooing.Glad to hear I'm not the only one who doesn't like Fibrology!
