Stuff to tone down yellow highlights

I have blonde highlights and dark lowlights. Blonde ones have bleached out a bit in the sun. What is that product to tone them down? Is it a purple shampoo or something? Have seen an ad on telly but can't remember the product.

Anyone remember? Thanks.

I use a touch if silver. You can get it from boots although there was a thread where something better else was recommended but can't remember. Also if your brave search food colouring added to your shampoo. We did this recently with my DDs orange mistake and added purple foid colouring to our normal shampoo and it did the trick.

Thanks. Have heard of touch of silver but sounds a bit old fashioned........if it works though. Bit scared to use food colouring!!!!!

Kerastase do an excellent purpley blue shampoo for highlighted hair - it brightens them up and takes away brassiness, use once a week.

I had exactly the same problem recently and found a miracle solution from Boots. Called Scott Cornwall Colour Restore (the ash shade). Like a slightly lilac-toned leave-in conditioner. It took the brassiness out and refreshed the highlights. So pleased with the result.

Thanks off to Boots now!

As old fashioned as it sounds Touch of Silver (the weekly treatment one) is brilliant for blonde hair.
