Gradual tan moisturising stuff

Hi all,

Going away next week to a hot country and would like to bare my legs without blinding everyone with the blue glare coming off them at the moment.

Here at home I normally use Sally Hansen Airbrush legs in medium but don't want to be faffing round with that everyday on holidays and also will be hot and need to be able to top OP sunblock.

Any suggestions for a gradual tanning moisturiser that I can use for the week in advance? Don't want any major colour just take the blue tinge off of them. I remember using the Dove one years ago when they first came out but I'm sure things have moved on since then.

Tia.

The Dove one is recommended on here quite a lot.
I don't like the smell though.

I like Garnier summer body. There is a light and a darker one.
I always go with the darker one.

I like the garner summer body one. I use the lighter one as I do waam but have lots of freckles, too dark and it doesn't look natural on me.

After a couple of days it gives a sun kissed look and is easy to apply. I haven't ended in with any awful streaks.

I really like the Palmers Natural Bronze, it gives me a much more natural colour than the Dove one which made me a bit orange.

Waam? That's an autocorrect of tan!

Thanks guys! I am very pale and never tan so will check those out.

I like Garnier Summer Body too - I use it all year round, smells nice and doesn't streak.
I put it on with one of those mit things from HomeBargains.

I use the palmers cocoa butter one too. 1 days use and my legs match the rest of me, then the next day all over and I'm pretty brown without looking too fake. The smell isn't great, the effect seems to last a good few days.

I streaked badly w the Garnier - fear am too slap dash for it. Instead, I use Loreal Sublime Bronze cream in medium. It doesn't smell as good as the Garnier, but the streaking put me off the Garnier.

Thanks all. How many times do I need to use it before holidays? Will a couple of days be enough?

Do I have to do it at night? I was hoping was just like normal moisturiser and could do it in the morning after showering and then get dressed. Don't fancy doing anything extra

I've used it in the morning after a shower, it didn't stain my clothes or anything but I did let it dry before getting dressed. I wasn't wearing tight clothes or white though.

After two days I'd say the blinding white will have gone, 4 days if you want to be more glowy.

Garnier Summer Body here too - it's the best one I've ever used. I apply in the morning, after showering and shaving, and leave at least ten minutes to dry. I use the 'Light' one, based on the fact if it's too light I can always add more, but if it's too dark....I look stupid! I've never had any streaks with this Smile.

I use Sienna x. Love it.

Another vote for L'Oreal Sublime Bronze, I love it.

ShakeYourTailFeathers · 14/08/2014 15:57

the moisturizer ones are great for morning use - I do 2 days running and my legs match the rest of me for a week.

Once a week I hop in the bath and scrub it all off and redo it. Works great.

I like Nivea and Jergens (not in the UK).

if you are as blue as me use one for fair skin so it goes the same colour as you do!
