&Other Stories online - anyone else had problems?

I placed an order on their website last week - I've bought instore before, but not online. I thought the website was very slow but the order went through and I received a confirmation email.

I didn't receive any further emails so I went to my account today to check if it had been sent out. My account says I have no orders Confused so I phoned them up. They said that there seems to have been a problem at their end, they're not sure what, possibly that my card was declined, therefore the order has been cancelled. (I checked with my bank, plenty of credit and there was no card decline). They didn't contact me to say they had cancelled the order, just deleted it. It was a reasonable sized order (3 dresses, 2 pairs shoes, + jewellery) so I am a bit surprised that a company would just bin an order like that without bothering to contact the customer. Is this how they usually work?

They offered me 5% off and free delivery if I want to reorder. But to get this I have to re-enter the whole order myself, then I have to email them with the order number to let them know that I was offered the discount, which they will then apply manually. Seriously! Customer service lady was pleasant, but other than that I thought the whole process was a bit pathetic.

I really like the stuff I ordered, but don't think I can be arsed. Have you ordered from their website before? Was it worth it? And are there likely to be other 'issues'?

I've ordered from them a couple of times. First was during the sale and the stuff took AGES to arrive. I rang them and whinged and they refunded the delivery charge, which was fair enough I thought. Second time no problems at all. I'd just reorder if I were you.

Thanks Amethyst. I've given up now! One dress is now out of stock. I added all the other stuff to my basket, went to make a cup of tea, came back and my basket is now empty. Their website is hopeless, will look elsewhere...

Same problem as you - 4 orders now (Scottish highlands) all messed up or not processed correctly.

I love their stuff but the online system is a disgrace

I ordered shoes and they sent the wrong size, took an age to send the right ones and refund something else I retuned but eventually worked out.

I had 2 mishaps with them - as per OP and pinkpear, but I got there in the end. I returned something about a week or so ago, and just got a refund notification. So... It's annoying and time consuming, so only worth it if you really want something. Which I did, and I'm really pleased with (beige pouch reduced from £55 to £17), but it has affected my desire to order online from them again.
