Just started using this to try and sort out my crap post baby skin. After a couple of days use its crapper than ever Sad
How long do you have to endure "the purge" before it gets better??

2 weeks for me and it was well worth it for the end result.

HalfATankini · 11/08/2014 21:00

Ditto 2 weeks. I couldn't believe how awful it got and while I don't think it's a wonder cream my skin is better than it was before.

Hold on!

FoxyHarlow123 · 11/08/2014 21:01

Took longer for me - about 6 ish weeks.

Pastperfect · 11/08/2014 21:14

I've just started using this - didn't realise I had to expect a big purge.

Go you just use it at night?

Lovethebubbles · 11/08/2014 21:18

I used morning and night to begin with. Less now my skin is clear. I like it under make up as a primer though

LittleMissP81 · 11/08/2014 21:40

Righto, will crawl under a stone for the next couple of weeks. It better bloody work!

Do you just have to ride it out? Been slathering on the sudocreme, will that negate the LRP effect? Oh to have lovely glowy skin Sad

Purging is a myth. The skin should not get worse before getting better.
The purging that people sometimes experience when using new products is more likely to be caused by an initial allergic reaction to ingredients that the skin gets used to after a while.

I never felt Effaclar did anything for me and I used several of the products in the range. I am much happier with Avene TriAcneal which is used at night before bed. In the morning, the spots have improved massively for me.

I found it did - nothing.

Whilst in Boots looking for this.......

www.boots.com/en/A-Derma-Epitheliale-AH-Skin-Repair-Cream-For-Damaged-Skin-40ml_1536/

......I couldn't find it so I asked a member of staff and she located it for me. She said that the same rep who came in for La Roche Posay also brought the A-Derma range in and said they were the same stuff but A-Derma was cheaper.

The epithiliate repair cream is lovely.
