Silver saltwaters?

Just that really.

Thinking of getting my first pair of Saltwaters for my holidays and wondered - specially in view of the almost universal condemnation of my last shoe post ! - if they'd look bling/ wrong in silver and better to stick to more traditional colour ways?

Even if they look OK, will they wear well and stand up to the beach as well as the plainer colours?

Sole is really thin in my opinion. It is a fashion thing. I have silver get compliments but don't find them all that comfortable.

Look too flat for me. Id get heel ache

Hmm still a bit concerned in case they're too flat/ sole too thin but am going to try.

My dd2 is 5 and has been wearing hers for a week, walking round paris, about 5 hours a day (with ice cream stops). She has them in a pale gold and loves them. Says they are very comfy.

I used to wear similar shoes when I was 5 which is why I can't bring myself to wear them as an adult .... Plus they make my ankles look bigger than usual.

I bought a pair after hearing about them on here. I love them. Yes the sole is very thin and they are definitely not 'comfy' sandals like my proper walking ones. But they don't rub, you can walk forever in them even if your feet get sweaty (my Birkies always rub then) and what's more, they look bloody fantastic. Don't get them if you don't want people looking at your feet.

Can anyone tell me if they will fit narrow feet?

ygritte · 09/08/2014 22:19

night sky - my narrow feet are doing fine in them. I was worried that they would get looser and, yes they are roomy at the front, but the ankle fastening and wide frontage means my feet are secure and don't slip/move about.
