Am I too old for this skirt? London buses print!

I'm 38. I think I know its wrong. Any thoughts please?

Ideally I'd wear a 50s shape, just below knee in a grown up print. Any ideas? I'm a horribly wobbly 16/18. I'm wearing lots of white stuff skirts. The prints are fun and they come in big sizes but hangy A-line shape is wrong on me. I look pregnant. V embarrassing.

I think to carry an item like this off you'd have to be super chic in all other ways and wear it in an ironic way. I'm thinking shiny black bobbed hair, immaculate make up, simple top, funky shoes.

I am none of the above and would definitely look a complete dick in it.

Ive never quite been super chic but I would have once worn this in an ironic kitsch fashion just as you describe and hoped to pull it off. But nowadays I might indeed look like the back end of a frumpy bus. Maybe that would be the irony!
