shapes? hmm! rectangular pear?

Wore a body con dress and stood in front of my 21 yr old.
She says I am half Way between a rectangle and pear. Because I am rectangle up to hips then slight curved hip/thigh
Does that sound like pear or rectangle?
Slimmish btw size 10 12 and 5 foot 4 bit of a tummy. Age 48. Longer body.

What are your top measurements compaired with your bottom measurements? A pear would be say 10 top and 12 bottom. Have you a clear defined waist, a pear would have one a rectangle wouldn't as much. There are on line calculators that if you put your measurements (shoulders, bust, waist and hips) in they will tell you what shape you are.

I have the same body shape OP although I'm size 12/14 and a little bit taller. I don't feel like I have a defined waist despite being smaller on top. I'm not quite a pear, not quite a rectangle because of hips.

Have you got good legs? If so you could be a 'spoon'. Think I'm one too.

Though I'm not a big fan of Trinny and Susannah, they had something like 10 body shapes which made more sense to me. I'm pear-ish in that my hips and thighs are ample and I tend to be one size bigger on bottom than on top but I have big boobs, broad shoulders and a short-waist. I think in their classification I was a "cello". Will see if I can find their shapes.
