More bra size help

girl currently wearing 28B (previously measured at 26/29

She now measures 28 under & 31 over (bent right over (or 30 not so bent over)

28C? Or 30B

She says her current bra feels tight on the band.

28C. 28B probably feels tight in the band because the cups are too small, not because the back is.

Sadly 28C is a ludicrously hard size to buy.

Her more friends (who are wearing sizes like 32/34 A/AA tell her age can't possibly be any more than an A cup & tease her for having a bra in a B cup

Sorry, I have no idea about London, but I'm sure someone else might have some suggestions.

The getting teased thing is horrible and it's also very frustrating because it shows a fundamental misunderstanding of how bra sizes actually work. A 28C is the same cup size as a 32C, so someone wearing a 32A teasing someone wearing a 28C for being 'big' is just plain wrong. and also her friends are almost certainly wearing the wrong sizes

But none of that is any consolation if she is feeling self conscious.

john lewis do a few 28C - just pop 28C in to the search box on their website. Her life will become much easier once she gains another inch as you hit 28D and you come in range of all the "d+" brands like freya, panache, cleo, bravissimo etc who do 28 bands.

Just checked online & M&S S have nothing in that size which is a pain as she's away on a residential next week & I wanted to get her at least one new one.

The nearest John Lewis is about 40 miles away so looks like it will have to be online. Debenhams don't even acknowledge that size!

Wonder if I get a really cheap 30B from somewhere just til I can order the right size. JL is £18 for one bra. The M&S ones she's wearing we're a pack of two at least.

She has asked for a sports bra too.

statistically you're very polite, not specifically pointing out that I was talking crap last night! My phone must have autocorrected that, because of course what I was trying to say was exactly the opposite of what I did say - that a 28C is the same volume as a 32A. Which is what you were saying.

I wish my phone would just let ME decide what I'm saying instead of changing it on me!

The problem is even these companies consider any d+ cup size large and put thick straps on rather than the nice dainty straps you get on larger band sizes/smaller cup. So whereas 32C bras look like they are made for someone with relatively small boobs, 28DD don't.

Agreed although some aren't bad, but it will still be a considerable improvement on the range available for a 28c.

Well we've just bought a pack of two soft underworked from M&S that she says feel much comfier, just to get here through the next couple of weeks.

And the assistant couldn't believe they didn't stock 28C in non wired.

And...........

She looked at dd & said well I'm a 30 inch back & I'm definatly larger backed than your daughter so no way does she need larger than 28!

Is this a record for M&S????
