I make my own bodyscrubs with sugar/coconut oil and ground lavender, lemon zest etc….

I make a basic raw honey and aragn oil healing face mask

I want to try a vitamin C serum and have some questions:
The idea is a tablet of 500mg dissolved in a few drops of water and argan oil. rub over face then wipe out excess and massage oil into skin.
Does that sound right to you? Or wash off? (pointless then as vitamin C is water soluble?)

How about a clarifying mask with salicylic acid (aspirin)?
here
Isn't too much absorbed into the system?

would love to hear about your favorite treatments

There are some great books. The fragrant pharmacy is my favourite. Easiest home recipe, mix honey and olive oil as hair conditioner.

I've done the aspirin mask, I suppose it depends how long you keep it on the skin to how much is absorbed. I'd only ever dissolved two at anytime so never OD'd iykwim.

It was amazing!!! Cleared up my spotty skin in about two weeks (using the mask once a week). This was in my 20's and I've not tried it since as I've been a breastfeeding mum for the past 7 years (on and off with different dcs!)

I had to hunt around for swallowable, uncoated aspirin as a lot of it is water soluble. Think I found some in an independent chemist.

Thank you both!
Tried the vitamin c and very pleased!!!

My skin is dryish with rosacea...i should probably not do the asprin one....
Is it very irritating?

What else would you recommend to exfoliate?
Any good fruit masks?

Laptop. The aspirin face mask actually calms rosacea and its redness. I suffer and aspirin face mask has made a huge difference.

Don't do the Vit c one. It's very irritating for rosacea. Makes redness miles worse (bitter experience)

how about an egg bomb? I think it's 2 egg yolks, 1 tbs olive oil and 1 of honey. Leave on hair for 30 mins and wash off. Full of protein!

Lemon juice and sugar paste as an exfoliator for dry elbows, cracked heels and rough hands. Just rub until all the lemon is absorbed and rinse.

Soothing face mask:
10 calendula flowers
15 lavander flower heads
3 roses
200 mls water
1 packet of vegetable gelatine

Boil the flower in water and let it steep for 15 mins, add gelatine.

Ha fava i so wish!
In Asia, so lavender & calendula, Roses and comestible gelatine?
Might as well pay for a botox treatment Grin

Lol! That's a first! Common garden plants in the UK, being viewed as exotic! Grin

I haven't tried this myself but an old work colleague used to swear by breaking an egg then using the yolk as hair conditioner and painting the white on her face. She left it on for half an hour before washing off.

Also recall a uni friend falling asleep drunkenly after someone poured a pint of guinness over her, and her hair was fabulous in the morning (after washing it out)!
