We’re going abroad on holiday soon, and I’ve got the usual dilemma of remembering which cosmetics I can pack in plastic bags in my hand luggage. Being a dire need of make-up 18hrs per day, I’d be traumatised if my make-up bag either got lost in transit or confiscated at customs. I know that I should be ok if mascara, lip gloss, concealer etc is in clear plastic bags, but I have heard horror stories about overzealous airport staff.
A friend suggested a take a spare selection of make-up (why didn’t I think of that?), so that I’ve got a small stash of essentials in both my hand luggage and my suitcase. Fab idea, but as I’m Mrs Clinique Super Fan, I can’t afford to replicate all my Clinique.
So had a mosey around Boots at the weekend, looking for some cheapy emergency supplies (DH can’t understand the concept of ‘crisis mascara’) and I discovered Boots Natural Collection …… I decided that as most items were £2/3/4 each, I’d have a dabble.
Well I’m amazed – the blusher is lovely, the loose powder is great, and so are the lipsticks and lip glosses. I’ve bought Rimmel mascara, and eye pencil, and they’re fine too. But I’m so pleased I discovered Natural Collection. OK, so it’s not quite Clinique – but it would certainly get me through my hols in the event of my posh stuff going astray.
