French Sole?

Have heard French Sole do very good ballet pumps? They are quite expensive - are they worth it? Or are there any other good ballet flats, find lots of them are a bit plasticky?

they are things of beauty, well made, but totally unsupportive and very hard to walk anything more than around the house in, as they have such thin delicate soles.

I had a pair and though very nice, didn't think they were worth it as they wore out very quickly. I like the ballet flats from Office.

Overpriced and they rub like fuck, IMO.

Clarks Originals ballet flats are comfortable and last well. Not that many colours to choose from though.

They are lovely, but they don't last long. Much too expensive for something that only lasts about 4 months. With most of mine the string that runs around the top of the opening (letting you tighten the fit) burst through and rubbed awfully. I've gone back to Office ballet pumps.

Lovely to look at, but hard to wear. Very thin soles and made for narrow feet.

Pretty but pointless, apart from one pair which were great over ten years ago the pairs I've had have been a pain. I now have a pair that came from one of those naice shops my mother adores that sell Italian shoes to ladies who lunch. I can't remember what brand and it has rubbed off but very pretty, comfy and stay on so if you have such a shop in the vicinity maybe take a peek there? Clarkes kill my feet, friend has little feet and buys hers from the kids section of Russell and Bromley.....

Theoutnet has some at 50% off with thicker "driving" soles. Am tempted to give them a try

WildBillfemale · 06/08/2014 08:46

lovely but pointless - I looked after mine but they were trashed as quickly as my £26 Next ballet flats. I wouldn't waste the money again.

elephanteraser · 06/08/2014 08:50

i was contemplating some but in the end found \link{http://www.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?cid=76503&vid=1&pid=000631738012\these in gap}

i think my fatter feet would not do french sole justice Grin

Weirdly, I find the Next ones to be the best and at less than £30 a pair, they are good value with loads of choice of styles. Admittedly, I don't walk much in mine though.
