Removing deodorant stains on shirts

LadyFairfaxSake · 04/08/2014 12:27

DP has some nice shirts for work, but some of his favourites have yellowy / white deodorant stains under the arms - they have gone a bit hard in texture and spoil the shirts.
Can anyone suggest a way to get the stains out?
Thanks

Worth giving this a go, certainly won't make it any worse..

Mix up a thick paste of borax and warm water and cover the stains with that. No idea how long you'd need to leave it tho, but if it seems to be working you can always reapply.

We used to live in a v.hot, humid country, o/h routinely wore a short sleeved cotton T under his shirt to avoid this sort of prob. Think other men in the office gave him that tip.

But it was my mum who told me about the borax :)

Thanks Bikermouse, I'll try that out.

'Nother thought. Ditch the regular spray deodorants and buy a Chrystal Stick. None of that white-y deodorant stain - . Not a good look on dark clothes.
