Which shades are you in different foundations? Please post!

I'm still on my quest for my HG foundation. I don't always get the chance to go for a 'colour match' when I'm trying a new one out (plus I'm really pale so they often would prefer to give me a darker shade 'to add a bit of colour' which isn't quite the 'colour match' I'm after!).
Could you post here which shades you wear in different foundations as it could be really helpful for those of us that have to.take a risk and order online!

I've been wearing Double wear light intensity 1.0 but have recently found 0.5 to be a better match. Also mac studio fix in nw15 but this is a little bit dark I think.

I think this www.temptalia.com/foundation-matrix may be helpful to you

I use findation.com if you put what shades you have used it tells you what shade you will be in all/most others.

CompanionCube · 03/08/2014 20:24

findation.com clicky link (hopefully)

Howaboutthisone · 03/08/2014 22:46

Thanks both! I've seen the temptalia before but now that I've tried and liked the intensity 0.5, they don't have it on there. I liked the layout of findation though and they had the 0.5!

Mac NW13 is perfect for me being a pale-y!

I want to like those foundation matching websites but I always find them a bit off - they give a good approximate, but then I'm usually one shade either side of the one they've chosen. Is it just me?

I'd always order samples if you can get them!

NW 20-is what they always match me at a Mac counter but it's slightly too peachy and dark.

Revlon-natural beige

Bare minerals-medium beige in matte.

That's interesting dream girl. It really highlights the different shades in different formulations side of things!

It depends on the season.

During winter, I'm a 010 in Diorskin Nude foundation and NC15 in Mac foundation and powder.

During summer, I use 020 in Diorskin Nude, 107 Beige in Clarins Everlasting Foundation, Intensitity 2.0 in Estee Lauder Double Wear Light, 01 Light in Estee Lauder DayWear BB cream, NC20 in Mac foundation and powders and N1 in Mac Face and Body foundation and Blush in Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.

I've recently been color matched by the boots electronic gadget that takes a picture of your skin to find a match and its been the best match I've had so far, usually foundations look ok in store and when you get home its too dark because of different lighting but this device reads your skin to get a match so no worry about lighting!
