Cheap night out outfit help

dolallymum · 03/08/2014 16:58

I very rarely go on nights out, and living in a small town can get away with pretty casual outfits for a night out when I do.
I have been invited to a hen night in the city and have pretty much no clue where to start as to whats in fashion for nights out in the city, and which websites are best to look at.
I've had an unsucessful shopping trip, and need some direction please.
I'm in my early 30's, 5'10", average build, and not got a lot of money. Confused
Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have anything you could / would like to use? Particularly shoes or maybe a bag or jeans.

What size are you after and what's the maximum budget we're trying to stay well under?

Where are you going? And what sort of things do you like? There are still quite a lot of sales around.

I'm between 14&16 top and 16&18 bottoms.
Very laid back so like to be comfortable.
Wear leggings or jeans a lot.

No coat needed then
How dressy are you thinking? I live in jeans most of the time too but have been wearing harem trousers when out now look good but so comfy :) next have nice ones you can dress up for around £20 I'm 5.10 too and they are long enough

Would you consider a maxi/long dress? Simple and elegant in cut, not fussy. Maybe a wrap or a light fitted jacket in complimentary colours? I'd match it with understated footwear and a shoulder bag.

Or if you prefer jeans then maybe a pretty tailored top that nips in at the waist and lightly scums the hips, a bold necklace or lightweight scarf to even out the very slight pair shape.

What ever you find I am sure you will look fab Smile, I hope that you have a lovely time.

Primark usually have some nice stuff for not very much at all, I have bought some lovely dresses and tops there.

I would say if you have a pair of jeans you can wear out go with those then add heels if you have any then buy a dressy top and kimono jacket type affair.
