Hoop earrings (small 'tasteful') yeah or nay?

I've never worn or liked hoops but fancy trying some. Do small ones (let's say gold with or without diamonds) scream middle aged woman on the lose?

I like big hoops and small hoops. I'm not sure what they say about me though!

I have some (various sizes from 10mm thin wire to wedding ring size, right through to 25mm diameter) Not quite Tina from Corrie size but I love them (48 yo so deffo middle aged here )
