It may be sunny but for some the next seasons are the best for fashion so here is a thread to start planning.

Today I bought some patterned tights in New Look that were on sale and I have seen quite a few things I want for the next season.

I really want a kilt with brown in.
A nice not to short straight dark denim skirt.
Some nice fine knitted v neck jumpers in grey, black and green.
Chunky tights never seem to find nice ones.
I'm sorted for boots but would like some leather converse ideally in tan if they do them.

Did pick up a nice quilted fitted navy jacket with leather piping for £10 in the sale yesterday Grin

Suddengeekgirl · 06/08/2014 07:43

spottymoo - that jacket sounds lovely! Where did you find that bargain? :)

spottymoo · 06/08/2014 13:55

Primark reduced from £15 which I'd have happily paid full price for it Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/08/2014 17:08

Spotty - they certainly do. I have these and love them to bits.

spottymoo · 06/08/2014 17:56

Ooo I like those are they converse?
I have some similar from next but find they don't fit as comfortable as my converse.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/08/2014 17:57

They are. :)

spottymoo · 06/08/2014 19:16

Thank you they'll be on list as soon as in back off holiday GrinGrin

tethersend · 06/08/2014 19:33

My gold boots arrived and I LOVE them.

Thanks dexter Smile

dexter73 · 06/08/2014 19:37

Brilliant! Do we get a photo? Grin

Crutchlow35 · 06/08/2014 19:47

That's lovely mad but I really want a huge one that you can wrap right around a couple of times.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/08/2014 19:49

Yes to pic of the boots. So pleased that you are happy with them. :)

tethersend · 06/08/2014 20:02

Thanks Remus Smile

I'll try and do a pic tomorrow, as I may or may not have stashed them in the wardrobe so DP doesn't see Grin

I'm looking for something comfy for long haul flights as well as the usual boots, dresses to wear with tights and a non-frumpy cardigan if there is such a thing.

I'm imaging myself wafting around JFK and Heathrow looking cool and together rather than creased and harassed.

dexter73 · 06/08/2014 20:06

I suppose gold boots aren't really something you can pretend you have had for ages!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 06/08/2014 20:09

Do you plan to pull them out when the weather gets cooler, proclaiming, "What? these old things? I'd forgotten I'd got them," then? Grin

My list now consists of:

flat black or tan shoes (can't find any that I like)

possibly another biker jacket

new bras (not for A/W particularly, but desperately need - especially after seeing my reflection today and realising anew how horribly aging and unflattering big norks on a small frame can be) :(

I have a jumper from Cos which I adore this one and I'm really hoping that they will make exactly the same one, but in grey

and I quite fancy, but don't actually need, some sort of red coat.

tethersend · 06/08/2014 20:28

Yeah, think they'll be coming out in time for the first day of term Wink

Are these any good, Remus?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/08/2014 15:37

:)

I tried the Whistles ones earlier in the year, Tethers. They were beautiful, but too delicate for what I want and the 4 was too big.

I went back and bought the leather jacket today btw. It looks green in some lights, but the label says grey - absolutely no Dead Dumbo issues though

. Here I've taken the buckle thing off the neck and will wear it with the collar turned back. The leather is beautifully soft - am so pleased with it. :)

Whistles for the best ever tube skirts. I practically live in them (guess what I am wearing now?!).

Floisme · 07/08/2014 16:37

I second Whistles for tube skirts. Or the Me and Em ruched ones if they do them again this autumn. They're more ££ but I found out the hard way that they're worth it. (Yes, River Island and Top Shop, I'm looking at you)

I was disappointed in Autumn Me&Em too but also a bit relieved in view of their prices.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/08/2014 17:03

Here

and Here and Here

They seem expensive but I promise they are worth it (and I am all for a bargain, generally!).

tethersend · 07/08/2014 17:06

this Hobbs trench is lovely and a great cut & colour. Tie belt instead of buckle though.

I have it and it's fab.
