It may be sunny but for some the next seasons are the best for fashion so here is a thread to start planning.

Today I bought some patterned tights in New Look that were on sale and I have seen quite a few things I want for the next season.

Have my eye on a pair of brown brogues - the more mannish the better for me, they need to make a statement! I can't decide between the boots or the shoes. One of the top 3 on this page, I love them all!

I'm also after a coat - tried on this one yesterday

Dd said it looks like something a granny might wear, despite her opinion I think I fell in love with it. Definitely has to be a colour this winter rather than black or navy - I don't need black or navy

Also planning to buy more cashmere from uniqlo because its cheap and it's been the best purchase ever, even for summer evenings it just feels fabulous and has washed really well despite being dry clean only.

Would love a pair of baggy trousers tapered at the ankles, not sure I can pull them off but I'm slightly obsessed with them.

So bored with skinnies and heeled ankle boots, I need something new!....which means I don't need anything! Wink

Love those brogues rainyday, like their loafers too....

I wear those horrible feet socks made of tights fabric with my brogues. It's ok though as no-one can see them and they're popular in the USA, I get them in leopard or zebra print. They're pretty comfortable and stop shoes rubbing completely.

tethersend · 03/08/2014 08:27

I've bought a lovely vintage fake fur bomber jacket, some vintage maxi dresses and am hankering after these, but am Hmm at the price... If anyone's seen any cheaper gold boots?

butterfliesinmytummy · 03/08/2014 08:35

I bought some distressed gold boots last year from anthropologie, similar but zip rather than Chelsea style. A lot of the gold has worn off so I'm going to respray them very lightly this year, you can get gold leather spray from amazon if you have an old pair of boots Wink

Rainydayblues · 03/08/2014 08:37

Butterflies I love the loafers too and they might just be robust enough looking for me but so far every pair I've tried just look too prissy and a bit dull, on other people they look great but I really struggle with anything that verges on classic....love on other people just not on me.

CambridgeBlue · 03/08/2014 08:41

tethersend Boden have got some gold boots in their clearance section, think they're called Boho Boots. Nice style but a bit bling for me :)

dexter73 · 03/08/2014 08:42

Tethers - I don't know what size you are but these are much cheaper.

dexter73 · 03/08/2014 08:44

More sizes here but more expensive.

tethersend · 03/08/2014 09:34

Ooh, thanks Smile actually LOVE the boden ones, but they don't have my size (8)... Will look down the back of the sofa to see if I can afford the ash ones Grin

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2014 11:17

Tethers - I do love you and your crazy boot aspirations. Grin

Dolores - I got These but I want some more leather ones too - maybe these or these.

tethersend · 03/08/2014 12:04

Remus Grin I want these really, but they don't fit and I can't sell a kidney...

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2014 12:09

Yikes! To be worn with a skintight silver jumpsuit? Grin

I do quite like the Ash ones - would be nice with a skirt like this but not that colour.

tethersend · 03/08/2014 12:20

I have a LOT of lurex in my wardrobe Grin

I am seriously tempted by those ash ones...

Floisme · 03/08/2014 12:49

I love autumn/winter clothes! No particular plans yet; looked at the August Vogue and it basically seemed to be saying that jumpers and coats would be the thing - well who would have thought it Grin I lived in midi tube skirts and ankle boots last year and won't be too upset if I end up doing the same again.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2014 12:59

Sainsbo's magazine (right at the cutting edge of sartorial matters) says we'll be wearing khaki and camo - I like both. I have this skirt, which I love wearing with heeled ankle boots.

Greengardenpixie · 03/08/2014 13:02

I read that too..this morning on dressipi. Seemingly khaki shirts are going to be really in! Sadly, it isnt one of my 'colours'

Floisme · 03/08/2014 13:05

Oh and Tethers I'm sure I've seen gold boots in TK Maxx recently. Can't remember the brand and there don't seem to be any on the website at the moment but worth keeping a lookout.

Floisme · 03/08/2014 13:07

Ew at Khaki.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2014 13:07

I've got some Topshop khaki skinnies, which I like, but never know what shoes to wear with them.

tethersend · 03/08/2014 14:37

Thanks Flo, will check.

I won't be partaking in the khaki revolution.

Unless we have an actual revolution of course; then it's fatigues all round.

Cataline · 03/08/2014 15:43

I love the gold Ash boots! I'm very tempted to order a pair. I like the idea of khaki skinnies too but am not a fan of camo (yet! Grin)
I think I need some new converse too- I like the idea of tailored wide leg trousers with converse for work. Maybe with a fitted shirt or blousey-type top? I'm getting far too excited at the prospect of new clothes. I need to have a massive wardrobe clearout first. I find that I can put outfits together much more easily if I have a limited selection! Having too many clothes makes me feel like I have nothing to wear- does anyone else have this problem?

Cataline · 03/08/2014 15:44

And tethers, your last comment really made me laugh- it startled DH!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2014 15:59

Converse for work? Would have to be a v casual place. I like quirky camo, like the skirt I posted, and a Topshop pencil skirt I failed to buy and still hanker after.

Cataline · 03/08/2014 16:16

It's casual Remus! I could wear jeans if I wanted to but rarely do. Your skirt was lovely. I think I'm haunted by the thought of some unwise camo purchases from the past....

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 03/08/2014 16:20

I bought seriously hideous camo tights as a joke to freak a friend out. Wore them for work with a skirt suit and heels! Grin
