ASOS - has anyone else had this?

Just had a delivery from ASOS and they've sent me the right item but in a different colour/pattern to the one shown on their website. The weird thing is the colour/pattern that's been delivered isn't on sale anywhere on their website and there was only one colour option for the item I ordered. Very confused! Anyone else had this?

They would have photographed the sample that they chose when selecting their garments months and months ago. Then possibly not QC'd the entire actual shipment which may have contained a mix of fabrics used by a sneaky supplier, or a substitute that wasn't declared.

Or possibly they had to rush another order in due to the fire damage they've experienced recently, and the supplier didn't have the original fabric.

Either way if you're not happy I think ASOS do free returns IIRC?

Ah that makes sense! Thanks, I've already contacted them and they're sorting things. The customer service from them is really good, was just wondering how they work - I hadn't seen anything about the fire either, that's awful

Yeah they had a big fire at their warehouse a few weeks ago during the night. luckily no one was hurt... just a lot of damaged stock!

I had that with a scarf. Really annoying.

Just a point..if their customer service was that good they would have contacted you before they sent it out to you!!!!

They probably sold it in several colour ways and the one you received has sold out hence not appearing on the website.
