Going to a smart wedding in 6 days… and I have nothing to wear.
I usually go for late 60s/70s style, but I haven't got the time to buy anything vintage - no time to shop, clean and possibly alter anything.
I've been looking at some repro stuff, but I don't suit the 50s style swing dress sort of look at all. Am a bit of a hippy, really…
So what do I wear?
Anyone about?
Tethersend?
Thanks

anything here?

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 10:21

Try free people website or asos vintage.

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 10:28

Other websites could be East, monsoon... you may get someghing to suit your style.

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 10:30

Also anthropologies website can do some beautiful boho esque pieces that you may like. They had a gorgeous silk maxi skirt which I loved but no occassion to wear.

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 10:37

this is gorgeous

MrsLettuce · 02/08/2014 10:42

maybe

MagicCarpet · 02/08/2014 10:44

Thanks for all replies!
I had forgotten about Anthro…
Traviata - I've never had anything from other stories, I worry I'm not trendy enough…
Mrs Lettuce, the mango dress is lovely, but maybe a bit short on me.
Greengardenpixie - that free people link is gorgeous!
Well, that was easy! Thanks very much!

I would just go into town - Monsoon, East if you have one nearby.

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 13:01

You could also try browsing next, you may just find the odd piece. Its next day delivery. Asos has lots of styles and very quick. Soome of the collections at Topshop are very hippy. I am nit young but buy the odd bit and they also do next day delivery

Greengardenpixie · 02/08/2014 13:08

You could always wear a plain long maxi dress and accessorize it up.

MagicCarpet · 03/08/2014 15:15

Bump, because I'm coming up empty from anywhere local, including Next…

Always happy to try and help a fellow 60s/70s fan Grin

What size are you and what's your budget?

MagicCarpet · 03/08/2014 15:34

Thanks! Grin Size 8-10, 5ft 6. Dark hair, very pale.
Budget as little as possible but could go to the ÂŁ150 mark if needed.

I know you said no vintage, but Candy Says are very good- their stock is always clean and in good condition- something like this would look great with a floppy hat

tethersend · 03/08/2014 16:04

If you like the psychedelic look, this in brown could work well with a long pendant necklace, backcombed hair, bare legs/nude tights and low heels.

tethersend · 03/08/2014 16:14

Bugger. Was going to recommend this but it's gone out of stock online. Might be worth calling them?

tethersend · 03/08/2014 16:15

How about a maxi wrap dress?

tethersend · 03/08/2014 16:18

asos

tethersend · 03/08/2014 16:19

and again (in blue]

tethersend · 03/08/2014 16:21

last asos

MagicCarpet · 03/08/2014 17:07

Tethers, you wizard! I like all of those… am going to investigate the CandySays one - I'm hoping it will be warm, so that would work with sandals and a wide-brimmed hat.
Thanks
