For all those who've used Footner ...

How long did it take until peeling?
I used Footner last Friday, 7 days ago. From Sunday, I've had very dry skin, that looks very scaly. I've had peeling around toes, but nothing on the soles of my feet. Just very dry, scaly looking skin! It's uncomfortable to wear socks, as the fabric keeps 'catching' or sticking to my feet (ugh). I'm soaking each evening for half an hour (there are flakes in the water, but that's the only time I actually look like the skin is coming off!)
Getting slightly concerned I will have scaly looking feet forever. Surely they should be peeling by now?!?!
Apologies for he most boak inducing thread of the day

I'm on holiday in a week, I thought 2 weeks should have been plenty!

What is footner! Do I need it?

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 13:48

A foot exfoliator sock thing from Boots, supposed to put feet in a bag, 10 days of peeling and then super soft baby feet.

So far, I've had sock dandruff at best

Did it on tuesday night and and peeling started yesterday afternoon, huge great sheets of the stuff! Have you been soaking in warm water to encourage it?

mrssmith79 · 01/08/2014 14:13

Oops, sorry, just reread the op and you have been soaking.

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 14:16

MrsSmith, I want great big sheets Grin I've read that on a lot of the reviews. My soles really are like tiny scales and is like foot dandruff when I take my socks off. The only peeling is around my toes. I am not even that bothered by that area, it's the soles that I wanted to sort. Maybe Footner have met their match with my feet!

I used footner on Tuesday night and am in the same position as the OP. I want great big sheets to fall off.

StealthPolarBear · 01/08/2014 14:21

A week. Tool over two weeks before I was in sandals again!
Immediate results were good but within a week or so I had dry rough skin again. I wouldn't do it again because of the length of time it took and the cost

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 14:27

Oh stealth, 1 week and I need to be in sandals, eek!
It's so messy too, I'm living in socks and I have to be careful taking them off, because it's so dusty. Hey oh, guess maybe I need to soak twice a day over the weekend whilst I can.

Has anyone used Footner again within the recommended 3 weeks?

Trooperslane · 01/08/2014 14:42

I had great big sheets within a week.

Still feel it needs another go - I live in flip flops in the summer and there're not great for keeping feet baby soft.

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 14:48

Did those who got the great big sheets have small scales before this? Or did it just go straight from your 'normal' feet to sheets?

soundevenfruity · 01/08/2014 14:51

I wasn't hugely impressed. I had done it once and there was some peeling but nothing as dramatic as others reported and it took ages to start. Don't know what went wrong. I have shower every day so I would've thought it was enough.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/08/2014 14:54

Mine went to very scaley like yours (so annoying when it caught on the sheets) and then peeled off. It took 5 days to get to the peely sheet bit but I have a lot of baths and spent most of that weekend in a paddling pool.

It's just finsihed peeling and it's ecxactly 2 weeks today.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 01/08/2014 14:56

I can post a pic of how the scales went next but don't want to freak out any foot phobes!

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 14:57

Oh well, worth a try.
Think I will visit a podiatrist next time

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 14:59

Will you, that's reassuring ... So maybe I will get sheets soon. Guess I need to keep soaking them more frequently. I'm off on hol next Friday, so would really like to get them finished and sorted by then!

It was like the skin had completely dried out and then just lifted off in big clumps.

The only thing that was left were a couple of cracks I had on my heel, but they're going much quicker now with the footfile as all the dead skin on top has gone.

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 15:04

Yeah, that's how it feels, like my feet are so dry. It's actually really annoying, as my socks keep getting stuck in the dryness. Right, I'm spending an hour soaking them tonight! Thanks for your posts

My feet are minging. I am getting this stuff.

mrssmith79 · 01/08/2014 15:12

Mine appeared quite suddenly yesterday. No effects when I got dressed and put my shoes on that morning but after a few hours of sweaty-footed house moving I took my shoes off to pop my feet up for ten minutes and boom, shed-a-geddon! I have a pic...bit it's gross Blush

sheeplikessleep · 01/08/2014 15:14

I'm tempted to just spend the weekend in the bath!

GiveTwoSheets · 01/08/2014 15:16

I found wearing a pair of old trainers my feet could sweat in helped as well as soaking them every night, help turn the dry flakes into peeling skin. Tbh I wouldn't pay £20 again for the ones from boots so I got the amazon ones £4.20 which are suppose to be just as good for when I can be arsed to do it again.

justjuanmorebeer · 01/08/2014 17:21

It took ages for me. I think 8 or more days but then it didn't actually properly work for me and I did two packets a week apart. Bloody annoying. It made the tops of my feet and sides peel but did not touch my heels which is the only problem area anyway. Very disappointed.

noddyholder · 01/08/2014 17:23

I did it and it worked amazingly well but the effects haven't lasted
