Recommendations for body lotion please

As title- I have been using up all the various lotions and potions that seem to have accumulated in my bedroom and bathroom. Currently now using up the hand creams.( Must remember this year not to buy the Boots Royal Jelly gift sets even if they are 70% off sick of the smell!)
So any suggestions are welcome

I use natural oils to hydrate my skin; I am using coconut oil to hydrate my skin properly. It also repairs my dry and flaky skin during winter. Coconut oil has Vitamin E which is really good for our skin and can prevent premature aging like wrinkles, crack, flaky and dry skin.

Kiehl's creme de corps , expensive, but i never knew my skin could be so good until i used this .

Bliss body butter. Tried loads over the years, but this is the best for me. It's quite thick so you don't need much, keeps scaly legs at bay and leaves a nice, non greasy sheen. It's about £20 a tube, so not cheap, so I usually either stock up when visiting friends in the US or wait for M&S to have one of their 20% discount days.

Vaseline Cocoa butter in lotion, spray and gel oil formats all great imo

Aveeno - it's cheap, soaks in really well and works well on my horrible itchy dry shins.

I just use Nivea - the dark blue one, for Very Dry Skin. It's cheap, and I like the smell.

My current favourites are L'Occitane shea body butters. They are rich but sink in well and leave skin velvety.

I also love Lush body creams, brilliant for skin but limited scent range and can be love / hate (I actually love most of them).

For an inexpensive option, yy to coconut oil, or pure shea butter.

I use E45 emollient bath something. I then only moisturise separately if I am using a gradual tanner. The bath thing is fab for dry skin I think.

I love superdrug vitamin e. It comes in a huge (475 ml?)tub for £2.99.

I've used some of the pricier ones (l'occitane etc) and the usual Nivea and Vaseline suspects.

Nothing has suited my skin as much as this.

Try it, if you don't like it at least you've not spent too much money!

Burts Bees. Also an Australian brand called Moogoo which was great for my radiotherapy damaged skin.

I agree Dun1 it's lovely and light but really moisturising for my very dry legs. Often on offer too.

Soap and SLS-free shower gel - stopped me needing body lotion at all.

I'm sure it's a conspiracy to sell us more product - encourage us to use drying wash products so we then need a moisturizing product as well.

Palmers cocoa butter . Good for manky skin or lush sympathy for the skin

I have dry skin and have tried loads of body lotions looking for the holy grail, including many of the ones mentioned here. The best for me , that I buy over and over is Clarins super hydrating body lotion.

Avenoo or khiels mentioned by another poster. You can get a version of the khiels with SPF too

I love L'Occitane body butters (25% Shea butter ones in various scents)- my skin is so so soft when I use them. I also bulk buy Shea butter body butter from The Body Shop whenever there is a good deal on. I tend to buy 6-8 tubs in Autumn, and work my way through them over the next few months.

I used the Superdrug body butter last year, and it is completely fine for me during Spring/Summer, as it has enough moisture, but I didn't find it quite rich enough during the colder months. Smells good though, and OK if you don't have lizard skin like me.

Garnier in the light green bottle, the gel formula. Light, soaks in and does keep my skin soft. Or palmers.

astral or the body shop body butters (smell divine) are all fab in my book!

Pure shea butter or coconut oil.

Soothes the excema on my body, rashes under boobs , and calms my rosacea.

Also keeps my feet baby soft.

Elbows and knees love a good seeing too as well.

But I do love the Body shop body butters for 'ahem' special occasions.

They smell divine,and the smell lingers for hours. And my skin is very strokable soft.

Another vote for vaseline cocoa butter, it is beyond incredible and the only lotion for me that doesn't feel too thick or too watery. It is miiiiiles better than Palmers too.
