YSL Touché éclat foundation?

I'm thinking of trying this but wondered what the coverage was like & if it lasts all day.
I'm usually fair/ med colour but I seem to be reading reviews that the shades are yellow based. I like a neutral nude colour & dewy look. It is very expensive so I'm not sure if I'm going to like it. Teint Miracle by Lancôme was the perfect shade in 010 but it slid off my face by lunch time.

This is one of my favourite foundations and I've bought it a fair few times. Love it. Nice medium coverage with a lovely dewy but not shiny finish. I don't find it too yellow. Go and talk to them, get them to apply it or give you a sample.

I love it it's my special occasion one. Good coverage no shine (combination skin) and I use it sparingly.

Could of murdered my 8 year old when I caught her slapping it on for the brownie dress up.

I like it very much. I felt that the SA tried to match me too dark (she asked me if I wanted my skin tone to be 'warmed up') so I wear the palest in the beige shade. There are three shade groups - BD is beige dorée, or golden beige, and most yellow. B is beige, most neutral with no pink tones and I would recommend this for fair/medium. BR is beige rose - please avoid this. Pink-toned foundation looks awful on almost everyone!

Samples are generous so it is worth visiting a counter.

Kittykat - did you try the 24hr teint idole ultra? Sorry, i know its not your question but i think it lasts a lot longer than the teint miracle?
I haven't found a dewy finish foundation that lasts.

Hi thanks. I will give it a try then. I'm in Australia & we only have big dept stores in the city that sell YSL. I rarely go into the city. The good news is Myer our store like Debenhams is opening on 31 Oct in our local shopping centre. I shall definitely get matched & try & ask for a sample. I like to try applying it myself to see how I like it. I usually go ready armed with a pot if they say we have no containers. I tell them I am a beauty therapist & that usually sways it for a sample. Most beauty counters are really stingy with samples here.

Walnut8 yes I tried Teint Idole. I had a bad reaction to it after a few days. I am in the process of getting a Definicils mascara sent in exchange. I found it also turned orange after a few hours. I think the alcohol content might have been what I reacted to.

Could I ask do you apply it with a foundation brush? If so which one gives the best result? I prefer to apply foundation with my fingers but use brushes when doing other people's make up.

Very interested to hear how you get on with it Kittykat! I have heard good things but lancome works for me so havent been bothered to try it.

I'm also in Australia and have found myer not so bad for samples - fingers crossed for you. If all else fails I take my two (screaming) children and say I dont have time for a makeover (clearly) could I just have a sample to try!

Kittykat7 · 30/07/2014 14:14

Thanks Walnut8 I'll update how I go. I'll go in the first day it opens so might get a sample without any hassle. I really hope I'll like it as not sure what else to try. I was going to try Clarins Skin illusion & had the colour Nude on order but was then informed that shade is being discontinued. The girl in the chemist said Estée Lauder were bringing our a new foundation in August. Think she said it's called Perfector. The girl in the chemist is very nice & knows me now so I'll try to get a sample. She said it was dewy.

Kitty are you in Joondalup?

Amethyst24 · 30/07/2014 19:13

It is fantastic on my skin and the sample I got was huge - it's lasted for at least 12 applications.

Kelly1814 · 30/07/2014 19:15

I swear by it, never used to wear foundo in the day, but it is amazing! Get comments on it every day.

Kittykat7 · 31/07/2014 12:34

Yes Giggly I work in Joondalup

I excited now to try it think I will be the 'B' lightest shade then as I want neutral, no pink or yellow undertones,
What's the best technique for applying? I prefer my fingers & a sponge but I have a brush.

Kittykat7 · 31/07/2014 16:30

I'll check the BB cream out thanks. I'm in a Banksia Grove.
