Long lasting foundation with sheer to medium coverage

Can anyone help with my quest? I'm going back to work before ML soon and it's time to crack the foundation conundrum. I was using and loved Bobbi Brown Natural Finish but they discontinued that. I have since tried the Skin (not long enough lasting, even with primer) and Long Lasting (too heavy coverage). I have dehydrated and slightly dry skin. I'm not a fan of dewy - tends to feel sticky to me.

I'm happy to spend Bobbi Brown type money but I can't get to a counter for things like Georgio Armani etc. I've heard good things about the new Boots No7 foundations. Any thoughts on those?

Ta muchly.

Oh, forgot to mention, I tried EL Double Wear (and light) and even the assistant admitted that she couldn't find a good colour match, so that's out.

revlon colour stay is good and stays on all day . They have a wide range of colours .

Try the No7 stay perfect superlight. I am biased, I work for them. When it first arrived I wasn't convinced by it, but now I love it and wear it every day! Seems to last for ages too, I just got another one with my allowance but I'm still using my bottle from last year!

Thanks both. As it happens I did the foundation matching this morning and am testing the Superlight as we speak. She gave me a good sized sample as well. I'm quite keen so far, will road test longevity at the weekend!

I would suggest Mac Face & Body foundation. Mac do not give out samples which is annoying, but you can get them to find the correct shade and to apply the foundation on you, then test the wear through the day.

I love the no 7 superlight too. Have tried a lot of different foundations and this is a really good one.

How annoying Carpaccio - my nearest MAC is 45 minutes away so it would require two trips.

Good to hear Quinn - I'll test this weekend with my usual primer etc.

im another one who would recommend mac face and body foundation

  • you can build up the coverage in the areas you need and it looks natural

Another vote for MAC face and body foundation!

You can buy Mac online on different department store websites like Selfridges, House of Fraser and Debenhams. So if you get the foundation applied and make a note of the colour, you can order it online if you like it.

I haven't found the Face and Body foundation on their own website though.
