Facial Exercises/ Facial Yoga

Does anyone have experience of doing facial exercise of yoga?
I'm keen to do something to help with ageing but not keen on the botox/ fillers, etc which seem so popular nowadays.

These seem like a cheap, more holistic alternative but do they actually work? There are so many types out there; which ones are best? Has anyone found any disadvantages to these exercises?

I would be so grateful for advice from anyone with experience.

Well I do shiatsu which is easy and can be done any time (when you'rewatching tv or whatever). It's a form of DIY acupuncture , using the tips of your fingers, not needles obviously Grin.

I use certain essential oils mixedwith almond or argan oil for doing it with in the morning. And I 've noticed a definite difference in my face (htough I have also lost a fair amount of weight) Grin There are no disadvantages apart from the time needed but you ddon't have to take too long. OH I just remembered that the eye exes REALLY do make a difference to my sight and the teeth ones are good because my dentist said "What are you doing that's made your teeth and gums so good?". Grin

eye exercises make NO difference to eyesight. Basic biology will tell you that.

Teeth exercises??? Do you mean eating?

Eva Fraser facial workout is good. I have the book, includes massage, pressure points too. I think there is a dvd too.

Yoga Does Help

You cant deny this fact

summerberries · 26/07/2014 14:31

I've never heard of shiatsu for the face.

I have heard of Eva Fraser and will look into that if you think it is good.

brightlikeme- when you say that it is a fact that facial yoga works, what do you mean? I think that some people suggest that exercising the facial muscles can actually increase lines. Do you use a particular programme?

ppeatfruit · 27/07/2014 10:25

Of course if you exercise a muscle it improves whichever muscle it is !!!!
