Sorry if a bit gross... Clammy thighs?!

Hi all
Sorry if this is a bit unpleasant but I figured if you lot didn't know what I'm looking for, they probably don't exist!

So... In this hot weather it's nice to wear a summer dress. I am not too enormous, 12-14 but my thighs do touch each other and when out for long walks etc in a dress can get a bit hot, sweaty and sore... Are there any sort of shorts or the like that would remedy the situation can you think of? Sorry if I have made you all vomit into your dinners with the thought of my sweaty thighs!! Thanks

Not to wear both together, obviously, just to try both- will report back on the results!!

Sloggi long leg shorts are the best. Tried body glide and bandalettes but did not have much success with either.

ah, chubrub!I'm size 14 and have the same problem. I use plain old talcum powder although i need to reapply a few times a day

bonzo77 · 27/07/2014 20:51

I'm a 8-10 and have this problem. I think it's the shape of ones legs as much as size. I was a 12-14 and things are no better now than they were. Lanacane didn't really help, and I find that the rubbing thighs make cycling shorts ride up and create a different kind of hell. A spray of Mitchum helps a bit.

Greengardenpixie · 27/07/2014 21:23

Deoderant? That is an interesting thought. Think i might try that!!

polyhymnia · 27/07/2014 21:54

Another vote for Lanacane. - have never had any problems walking around in dresses in heat since I started using it after a recommendation here. A miracle product.

ELR · 28/07/2014 10:20

I use the anti chauff stuff but also sometimes just wear a pair of DH boxers.

splodgeness · 28/07/2014 12:54

I have this problem. I have done lots of research and testing regarding this! IMHO... Lanacane is good but expensive and wears off quickly, talc or liquid talc are okay unless you start to sweat, deodorant (roll on) is the best of the bunch but only if you are doing a short amount of walking although it can be easily reapplied through the day, cut of leggings and those special shorts made me super hot and sweaty.

The best and ultimate solution is Bandelettes. Seriously!! They have transformed my summer wardrobe, fit nicely, don't slip down, cool, great for days when you know you will have to do a lot of walking such as on holiday. (I don't work for them honest).

Bandalettes look hot? But not in a sexy way....
I rate body glide

Topazandpearl · 28/07/2014 18:48

Mitchum roll-on deoderant works well, just have to let it dry before dressing.

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 28/07/2014 19:38

I'm a cyclist.....check out a chamois creme called udderly smooth. Stops the chafe on the bike so would work for walking too.

toastandmarmiterocks · 30/07/2014 18:02

I use my Dove roll on deodorant. I'm a size 8 and my thighs chaff. I think it's just the shape & I am an extremely sweaty person. Use it round my hairline too!! Blush

WitchWay · 30/07/2014 19:28

Bodyglide - amazing! Thanks for the tip upthread - it's completely stopped my shoes rubbing my heels!
