I ordered this a while ago and it fits lovely but sent it back because although I like the print I was worried it was just too Boden-y. But now its reduced, what do you think? (be honest!). I am 35 but think (hope) I seem a bit younger. 5' 3" size 10, Would wear with black leggings & boots.

If your style is very "boden" then fab! But mine is not, so I find it boring... Of you want to wear it in winter then maybe thick black tights and skater shoes should make it look more modern - leggings and tights are quite old fashioned now - sorry to be harsh

KoalaDownUnder · 25/07/2014 07:38

It doesn't look the right shape to be worn with tights and boots...or as a beach cover-up thingy. It looks quite fitted, like it's supposed to be worn as a dress on mild summer days, with sandals. If you're not keen to do that...I'd give it a miss, tbh.

I can't speak to the Boden-y business, as I am totally unfamiliar with Boden.

I tried a tunic last year but was shocked to realise it was 95% viscose. I really dont like the material. Its hot and sweaty. I meant to ebay it....

NoArmaniNoPunani · 25/07/2014 07:49

35 is far too young to wear that disgrace

peasandlove · 25/07/2014 08:34

that pattern screams boden.

Having bought it and regretted it, really think you could do so much better if you're looking for something to wear in winter. It really didn't feel at all classy, just garish.

polyhymnia · 25/07/2014 12:20

Also, if you were thinking of wearing either the red/pink or green one with black tights, the background in RL is very definitely a (not very subtle IMO) navy blue, so might look a bit odd?

Brightoncheery · 25/07/2014 15:52

I bought it and it's still in my wardrobe with the labels on a few months later... I thought that it would grow on me but it never did! Too late to return so now destined forthe charity shop.

Pinkfrocks · 25/07/2014 16:47

I wonder if they make a special size for the model?
It's not that short on her yet the length for a size 10 is 33 inches.
I'm a shortie @ 5 3"but can't get away with anything less than 35-36 inches even though I have good ish legs- am just too old- mutton-lamb.

Petal02 · 25/07/2014 16:59

I love Boden, not sure if that's a problem or not??!?

polyhymnia · 25/07/2014 16:59

Brighton cheered to know I'm not the only one. I thought it would grow on me too, but when I took it to the Côte d'Azur among elegant Frenchwomen and their understated clothes it did the exact opposite!

I bought this last week (in the sale), it doesn't work as a dress, so I shortened it, and it looks great as a tunic; either over skinny jeans or as a beach cover-up

Brightoncheery · 25/07/2014 17:20

Not sure where my second post came from! I think part of the problem for me was that I'm too pale, I think that you need to be fairly dark skinned to carry it off.

Polyhymnia - it's definitely not understated Smile
