Find me a bag for work

My Orla Kiely maxi sling bag is on its last legs after a few years and I'm after a new work bag.

Ideally leather, a plain colour - would prefer darkish grey or some shade of mid-brown/tan or possibly black. It needs to be big enough for a bulky A5 notebook, bottle of water, wallet, small cosmetics bag, a small lunch container or at least cereal bars etc., phone, keys, tissues, hand cream etc. assorted crap that I carry around.

It needs to be fully closable with a zipper, ideally with some front and back pockets/compartments and some inside compartments. A handle long enough to carry as a shoulder bag.

I can spend up to £250 on the right bag if it will last me for a few years but would obviously rather spend less.

No back packs because they don't feel safe for commuting.

I've looked at satchels but not sure they feel really right for me.
My style in general is smart casual, a lot of Boden and White Stuff, Grenson brogues, lots of colourful clothes, a bit boho/vintagey so nothing super smart and shiny.

I need your shopping wisdom!
