Whiteheads

I mean the small white spots that appear across the tops of my cheeks just below my eye sockets. What causes them and how can I get rid of them?

Could those be milia?

If they are, it seems that a visit to the beautician is the way to go.

Boiling hot flannel for ages then nick the top off them with a sterilised needle and gently squeeze with tissue covered fingers, they pop out like tiny pearls.

I read somewhere that they can be caused by using moisturiser that is too rich.

I can't remember the actual Greek word for them but it's translated as pearls
