something to make foundation lighter?

Sure that some time back someone mentioned a product that you could mix with foundation to make it paler? MAC? maybe?
I've never found an alternative foundation as good as the old Clinique Repair Wear but they stopped doing shades 1 and 2 and the 3 is far too dark.

MAC Face and Body comes in a white shade that can be mixed with other colours. Illamasqua do one too.

Both MAC and Illamasqua do white shades. Face and Body and Skin Base foundations respectively.

There's another brand called Face Atelier which does a white foundation that is meant to be amazing. You can buy it online.

when i have bought foundation that has been too dark, i just mix it with some moisturiser. It may not have the same coverage though.
