Sloggi Comfort Shorts Sizing Question

Off on holiday next week. Want to get some comfort shorts and maxi pants. I know people say they are true to size but ... I am 14 in M&S full briefs but 16 in New look shorts for example? If I get a 16 will they be huge? Will a 14 cut into my apple belly? Thanks

I find normal Sloggis fairly true to size, or slightly generous, so assume these would be similar unless someone else knows better?
