Measurements: 28 under 36 over. Empty breastfeeding shells!

28 band is too tight and uncomfortable. Currently in 30D which is comfy but have the slightest of slight under arm bulge.

Need a strapless bra - size?!

28 may have felt tight due to the cup size being too small. Those measurements give a size of 28FF (the sister size would be 30F)

Probably too late but try the Wonderbra Ultimate Strapless in a 28FF or a 30F (the bands run small)

Had a choice of M&S or Debenhams. Neither had my size. I looked at a 30F in the Debs own brand but the cups were huge. There's no way my bee stings were going to fill them!

I came home empty handed.

Don't judge on look, if you've been wearing the wrong size you won't be used to how much of the breast the cups should actually cover. It can also vary hugely in bra style so a full cup will look enormous next to a balconette or half cup of the same size.

I'd also say you need a 28Ff or thereabouts

28 felt too tight on me at first but you get used to it.

It's a bit like when you start wearing a bra for the first time.

I wear the Freya Deco strapless (currently on offer at Figleaves at £24.70). I would order a decent range online and try at home if your budget/credit card allows....and return the duds.
I find that whilst I was fitted for a 30 band, it is difficult to wear all day and hurts my ribs so would prefer a 32 for comfort. The lift is good with this style and I have same problem with "lack of fullness". As long as the top isn't skin tight you can't see the join...as it were :s

BTW I have just ordered some strapless bras from New Look for a very good price (£10). Their DD and bigger sizes strap bras are suprisingly good for fit, especially if you want colour and the odd pretty (not substantial) strap for under bits of clothing. My everyday stuff is Freya for support but ££.

Thank you all.

Everything is really expensive so I might resort to those awful cotton bandeau things and put up with it!

I'll check out NL, thank you ygritte.
