Cabbages and Roses Sizing

I'm about a 16, but kinda apple shaped. Is a 'large' still C&R going to be comfortably roomy, I can't bear things fitted, or am I, frankly, too bloody fat?!

That's what I'm hoping too! Thing is, it's a bloody expensive mistake if they aren't! (Even if I do send it back)
