Hello

I'm lurker mainly but love the advice you stylish lot give, so wanted to get some advice.

I'm late 28s, look very young - often mistaken for very early 20s. Short, brunette, pale/freckley skin, brown eyes and a decent size 8/10. I work in a strange environment! Quite technical, although I'm in a non tech role, with no real demographic. There is no dress code - for example, from sitting at my desk I can see men in shirt/trousers office wear, women in skirts/heels/blouse as well as people in very causal jeans and tee short style outfits. The majority of people wear very causal clothes - I'm not out of place in bright blue skinny jeans and leopard print ballet flats.

I have a small work wardrobe - but want to expand it, as I feel a bit 'underdressed' for my role.

I have a gorgeous pencil skirt - very fitted, but I feel uncomfortable and over dressed in it when I wear it for the office. In comparison, I have a pair of Gap super skinny black trousers that I wear with coloured ballet flats and a white lace t-shirt style top which I feel comfortable and 'smart' in. I also quite like to wear little print dresses with tights and flats, but these feel more causal than work wear.

I want to feel more grown up at work - but not over do the smart/business wear to the point I feel awkward and like I'm standing out.

Could any of you help me create a capsule wardrobe for work..? Happy to list what I have/wear at the moment if thats useful?
