'trendy' raincoat styles??

I've tried the ubiquitous trench coat - in several sizes - but I am disappointed with the look. Problem for me seems to be -

I am tall so belt tends to sit above my waist, and as I also have big boobs and a wide chest area, it just looks awful and I tend to wear it open even when it's raining. Which seems to miss the point of a RAINcoat, esp as I live in a rainy place.

What I want is a mid- thigh length, waterproof, single breasted buttons, not an outdoors/sports jacket, something a bit smarter, £100 or less. Okay of it's last year's stock as I am not that trendy at all (and I'm)a cheapskate at heart). Maybe straight with no belt would be best?

Search for a thread I started a couple of months ago on S&B asking for summer raincoat suggestions, there were loads of good ideas.
