In the past I've bought her cheaper, more casual trainers/sneakers (Clarks Doodles, John Lewis own brand around the £15 mark, etc), but decided this time to buy 'proper' trainers, thinking they would last longer and she's doing more proper sport at school etc. She's only had them a few weeks and my god, they smell VILE - like really strong cat's urine.
I've never had this problem with any of her other shoes, trainers or not, and they are so disgusting that even though they still look pretty new, I can't have them in the house - plus she says a couple of kids at school have said they stink and I really don't want her to get picked on, called smelly etc. I've tried washing them in the machine to no avail. Do I just have to chuck them out? Help!
