Just saw this blog on here - do u ? I'm a 16-18 and although don't wear bikini ( stomach area I hate ) I wear a tankini and don't mind wearing dresses as long as not tight but I wouldn't wear anything belly revealing now mainly due to having kids rather than my clothes size x

I'm not plus size - I'm a size 14, 5'8" - but I don't wear a bikini. I'm going on a beach holiday in a few weeks, a proper white sandy beaches, luxury hotel, all-inclusive, holiday-of-a-lifetime kind of thing, and I thought, this is it, I'm going to wear a bikini. I know women of all sizes wear bikinis and all power to them, and I'm going to do it too.

So today I went and tried on a variety of bikinis. Patterned, plain, halterneck, fold over briefs, tie side briefs. And I have decided, conclusively, that I do not wear bikinis. I like my figure, I don't like my wobbly belly and I feel better when it is under restraint.

Not exactly an answer to your question, sorry. But you know, I do feel fairly confident about my body. I just feel more confident with a little extra support around my midriff Grin

Have just come back from Greece... Greek women (and other Euros) of all sizes and ages wear bikinis .. no one looks / minds ...

I'm 56 , sz 12 on top 10 bum but apple shaped .. def got a wobbly tum. and was so white im almost blue .

I wore a bikini like every yea r now although i never used to , because i thought id look so gross i.. just make sure i get an underwired one in a bra size (36D)..like Panache Freya or lepel

felt great actually and No one fainted.. (even me)

Go on.. just do it ..

ok..im not 'plus size'as title asks though i do look my 50+ age in skin tone type. wrinkles bags etc -( nice Grin Wink ) . but the point i was trying to (badly) make is that many people i see on the beach in Greece each year are large.. and they look fine in their bikinis .. and are really relaxed about wearing them..

Anyhow16-18 isnt 'plus size' in my book..

Look on some plus size body acceptance style blogs. The 'fatkini' as it has been dubbed looks great. I'm looking for the right one myself now. Although you aren't even plus size! You can buy 16/18s everywhere.

I wore a bikini on my recent holiday - size 18/20 on the bottom and 36GG on the top. I dont care what anyone thinks and saw all shapes and sizes wearing bikinis too.
