Is this dress OK?

I have a white tie dinner and dance to go to in a couple of weeks, will this dress be OK do you think? How would you style it?

I don't do fussy but want to look nice and don't want to spend a lot of money because I've lost a couple of stone this year and have another stone to lose so I really don't want to fork out on something that may not fit me in 6 months time.

What do you think, is it awful? (I'm 48 btw, dark auburn hair)

I would wear one nice bracelet and leave it at that

Hair ? Up-do if it's long.

this is pretty but I have delicate wrists so I like delicate jewelry, and not too much of it

I have this, would it look OK or do you think I shouldn't wear a necklace? I have a very simple thin silver bangle that I wear a lot so I will probably wear that on my wrist.

Earrings instead of necklace, maybe?

Agree that the Debenhams shoes are too Strictly.

These any better? I got the dress today and it's absolutely lovely, I'm so pleased. Fits like a glove, length is just right and the colour is beautiful. Probably wouldn't have paid the original price for it but for £40 it's a brilliant buy. Having tried it on I agree no necklace but I need to find some really special earrings now. :)
