I can't find the thread, but someone recommended conditioner before shampoo for fuller, glossier hair. I tried it this morning and my ultra-fine, thin, floppy mop has body and volume and texture and shine. A big thank you, whoever you are! Thanks

Ooo might have to give it ago

MohammedLover · 14/07/2014 22:24

Oh good idea I'll try that thanks. I guess that is like moisturising before showering to keep your skin in good condition too!

Safmellow · 15/07/2014 19:34

Ooh I saw that too, meant to try it tonight but automatically slathered shampoo on before I remembered. Will definitely be trying it next time :)

Also reminds me of the 'powder before foundation' thread which is also a top tip!

WallyBantersJunkBox · 15/07/2014 19:35

But do you put more conditioner on after the shampoo?

Safmellow · 15/07/2014 19:36

No I don't think so. Am sure it said to put conditioner on, leave for 2 minutes whilst you wash your body, then shampoo out.

WallyBantersJunkBox · 15/07/2014 19:37

Ok I'm up for a try of that. Smile

MohammedLover I just looked up moisturising before showering and that works too! Apparently, it's best done with oil, so I'm off to try with my almond oil and will report back.

Wally Conditioner is only used before shampooing. I know it seems odd, but it has transformed my hair. The extra body and volume has been really noticeable.

Oiling up pre-shower does leave skin v soft post-shower and you could get away without moisturising, if in a rush. Definitely adding that to my shower routine.

I tried the conditioner before shampoo thing this morning, my fine hair did have mor ebody to it but what i noticed more was that it stayed down, when i dryed it with the hairdryer it went sleek like it does at the hairdressers, normally I have big fluffy bits on the ends, but today its gone ok looking.

Thanks for sharing, grat tip! I already do the moisturiser (with baby oil) before showering but whats the powder before foundation thing, doesnt it just rub off?

ILikeToClean · 15/07/2014 22:09

Ooh I'm so excited it was me who started the original thread! Grin

Littlemoocow · 16/07/2014 06:44

I tried this yesterday, for me there was no extra shine or body, more like limp and very static all day. I was excited but it hasn't worked for me at all

Safmellow · 16/07/2014 09:51
