Appears to have already been and (almost) gone. Did anyone manage to get anything? Some lovely shoes for £2.

Nah, I missed everything as usual. Saw knitwear for £5 (sold out obvs) before I closed the page in a fit of pique and then had a word with myself about what is important and what is not, in the grand scheme of things Grin

maybemyrtle · 14/07/2014 10:05

There was very little left at 7.20 this morning when I looked. It'll all appear on ebay in the next few weeks at rather inflated prices I expect.

Apatite1 · 14/07/2014 10:15

Nah all sold out. Pants! I was sound asleep at 7:20 Grin

Saurus72 · 14/07/2014 10:25

I went on at 6.30am and spent £110 (eek) on a beautiful looking coral leather tote (£40) a silk maxi dress (£20), a patterned floaty top (£15), cotton PJs (£10) and a cotton skirt (£25). Based on past archive sale experiences, I expect to return most things, my main hopes are invested in the bag and PJs.

maybemyrtle · 14/07/2014 10:34

Saurus you did well! Hope you've got some keepers in that haul.

Saurus72 · 14/07/2014 10:37

I have myrtle, but it will be Toast's wierd fit that I bet will make things look bizarre! Definitely worth a try though!

lurkingaround · 14/07/2014 11:37

Has anyone tried their sheepskin scuffs? They're only 19, compared to the usual fortune they cost. Are they anything like the Ugg ones?

Saurus72 · 14/07/2014 11:49

Haven't tried, but I would definitely take a punt at that price. Not much to lose, plus Toast quality is usually pretty high.

Rooners · 14/07/2014 11:55

I got the email at 6.02 and luckily was up with a bad case of insomnia, so went and raided it Smile

Managed to get (as far as I know - no confirmation yet!) a pair of saltwater sandals, (yay - been waiting for ages!) and a lovely huge blanket, a rug, three cheap skirts, a silk dress (£10) which looks beautiful - not sure on the fit as some of their things I'm a good 10, others a 12 - two pairs of tennis shoes at a fiver each in case one fits better, and an Indian sort of bag.

Most stuff was still available at that time - though I did it in four different orders, as I didn't want the priority items to disappear! By about 6.20 nearly everything lovely was gone. It was FAST. But the prices were unusually low this time, which makes people shove everything in their basket anyway, regardless of whether they like it!

Was glad I knew what I didn't want. I even didn't buy the leather jacket in my size as I just didn't really need it. Must be getting old Grin

lurkingaround · 14/07/2014 12:03

Have ordered the scuffs, agree Saurus, not much to lose.

TulipOHare · 14/07/2014 13:18

Oh I am well jel as The Kidz probably don't say Envy

VillaVillekulla · 14/07/2014 13:22

I'm so annoyed. I nearly had a lovely pair of Chie Mihara wedges. I was there at 6.30am frantically putting my card details in only to get a message saying they'd sold out while I was buying them :(

Brickshed7 · 14/07/2014 13:42

I missed everything too. What irritates me is they leave a dimmed image of all of the sold out items-just to rub salt into the wounds. I do not really want to be reminded of what might have been!

Rooners · 14/07/2014 14:30

Yes I know, I've been in those situations a LOT before. It was pure chance I was awake worrying at that moment. Don't be jealous, your time will come...the times I have sat and sworn cried as they removed things from my basket at checkout.

I always seem to get the wrong size too. If anyone wants a pair of Chie Wonder Sandals in what I think is about a 9, let me know...got them for £45 last year and they may be a 41 or 42, but do they fit my size 8 feet, do they buffalo.

Apatite1 · 14/07/2014 15:25

There were chie wedges? Damn, I love them. I have several pairs which are so comfortable. Would have loved to add to to my collection!

niminypiminy · 14/07/2014 15:31

I got a jacket that I liked from last year -- to expensive then, too expensive in the sale, down to £30. But that is the first thing I've bought for at least a year. And the only thing I've ever got from the archive sale.

TulipOHare · 14/07/2014 15:49

I got a beautiful jacket last year. It was wool, but fine and light, and sort of military-meets-Victoriana in style. But it was too small. Sad forever Sad

I did also get a brilliant pair of baggy brown cords. Sounds awful Grin but no, honestly, they're fantastic. Only £13. That is my only Toast archive sale victory ever.

CoconutAmericano · 14/07/2014 17:11

Just nabbed a pair of baggy trousers for £15. Hope they're nice on.

Saurus72 · 17/07/2014 19:20

Has anyone else received their order? As expected, I have returned 4 out of the 5 things I ordered, just keeping the top which cost £15 (reduced from £85!). I'm very pleased with it, but now I'm thinking a new white skirt would look really nice with it. The Monsoon sale might be calling...

CalamityJones · 17/07/2014 19:28

I got bloody loads quite a lot and amazingly for Toast, it all fits pretty well. I don't need a Grace top in natural/moroccan, a linen cardigan in duck egg, a fonda tee in grey/pearl or an areille dress in blue/green - all size 14 and too big, pm me if you want them for the sale price plus postage...

motherinferior · 17/07/2014 20:34

I got the last two pairs of straight-legged jeans in my size for a tenner each.Grin

niminypiminy · 17/07/2014 20:50

My jacket will be going back, it's all lumpy round the shoulders and the material is thick and stiff.
