Can anyone help me remember what these are called?

Those pretty little things you put on your shoulders to make them look nice and to also cover them up a bit. They are quite decorative.

I have to baptise DD this summer and Orthodox churches don't allow exposed shoulders.

Also links to where I may find some would be brilliant.

Thanks

A pair of matching parrots may actually be cheaper OP.

TheHandbagOfGlory · 13/07/2014 09:21

Grin I just realised what that link actually says it is! I remembered when I was looking for a cover up for my wedding that capelets were the longer ones and the very short ones were called a tippet, I did not wear a vicars robes Grin

DuchessFanny · 13/07/2014 09:22

There MUST be something cheaper out there !

JulesJules · 13/07/2014 09:22

Thanks Duchess! Will take a look on Etsy.

Dinna, two parrots on each shoulder might actually work. They're colourful, pretty and cover the shoulders. Perfect!

JetJungle · 13/07/2014 09:40

Sorry about that ^

The capelet paradox:

The less lace involved = the more expensive the capelet

DeMaz · 13/07/2014 09:55

Thanks duchess. That's gorgeous! It's not worth me spending so much on something I'll probably wear once. Now I know what it's called I will do some searching.

Jet, very true and also ridiculous....!
