Help needed for graduation

This place scares me, so please be gentle!

My child's graduation is next week and I haven't lost all the weight that I should have. I'm now stuck for something to wear.

I always wear trousers and tops and just can't see myself in a dress. I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb and know I'll need something nice but I'm just not used to wearing 'nice' things.

Money isn't a problem at the moment, thank God. I'd far rather buy online and get a couple of different sizes as I can't face changing rooms.

I'm an apple shape with big boobs. I'm 5'5" tall. Please help!

You can wear trousers! I work at a university and see lots of parents' graduation outfits. These vary from really dressy (think guests at Wills and Kate's wedding) to smart casual (think linen trousers, floaty top and flat sandals for women, chinos and short-sleeved shirt for men). Everyone looks great because they are beaming with pride!

Yes, indeed, of course you can wear trousers!

What size clothes do you usually wear OP?

Dressy trousers would be fine but the right dress looks fab on any shape.
