outfit help / question please

dark skinny jeans with a navy / white gingham shirt . beige flat shoes . maybe tuck shirt in with brown belt ?
is this an ok casual style would you say ? or is gingham a no-no these days ? clueless

Gingham is everywhere at the moment. I think is is very 'on trend', or at least it was a couple if weeks ago.
