Recommend a dry shampoo

I'm looking for a new dry shampoo - preferably one that doesn't have a strong scent.

I've been happy with Klorane dry shampoo with oat milk, but I seem to not be able to find it anywhere.

I spent a small fortune on the Ojon full detox Rub-Out Dry Cleansing Spray - which I've so far used once. And now it doesn't work - it simply doesn't spray. I've been told to take it back to Boots by the Ojon customer service, but it looks like this is a very common issue and people online are writing that it happens again and again.

I've used the Batiste Original once and my scalp felt quite itchy so not sure I want to use it again...

What can you recommend?

Batiste tropical has a better smell than the original.

I used to like the Toni & Guy one, but TBH batiste is just as good and a fraction of the price. Maybe give another batiste a go - the tropical or hair colour ones maybe?

i couldnt live without batiste dark brown!

Batiste floral smells ok.

What's the Batiste blonde one like, anyone?

Folk here have said they thin your hair-mine is v fine & would like to use one but don't risk it often

what about decanting your ojon one into a new bottle/dispenser?

Bumble and Bumble. Comes in different colours, but is not cheap at over £20.

I don't get dry shampoo.
Why not just wash hair and have done with it?

My nan always said to sprinkle some baby talc through your hair and rub in round the roots, I have done this for years and it works.

I then Saw this as a tip on This Morning a week or so ago and it was described as heavy duty dry shampoo.

The Ojon one is an aerosol so it can't be decanted. I have cleaned the nozzle but it hasn't helped.

I like the volume and texture the dry shampoo gives. I'm generally not a fan of styling products and similar but the dry shampoo works for me.
And it is practical if having to run out of the door and wanting to refresh the hair a bit.

Umberto Giannini (sp?) is the one I use and I love it. It's a bit pricier but far better than batiste.

If you like the volume and texture, why not try styling powders? I have Got2Be one. Batiste do one too. I've used a few over the years. It makes my fine (but I have masses of it) straight hair full of movement and volume. I'm using the OSIS Dust It Texturising one at the moment......depends whats on offer.

Buy from Savers shop at half the price of Boots!

The Boots own one works very well. It's finer than Batiste, so feels softer and lighter. It does have a fairly strong smell though, sort of coconutty.

Batiste is brilliant. I get a greasy fringe one day after washing & one application sorts it out for several days. I've also used the Lee Stafford dark brown one, I like that one too, it's much lighter than Batiste but it covers up root re growth really well & makes your hair feel clean again for a couple of days.

My favourite one now is Morrisons own brand for both me and DD. Fine hair, hers gets very greasy and this is the best we've found for that. I use it on mine for days when I should shampoo but don't have time to dry/style etc.

The volumizing one from batiste is really good and doesn't smell too strong.

Eliza- I am a big batiste fan but didn't like the blonde one. Funny, yellowy fag stain colour IMO. I once tried the bumble and bumble blonde one which was lovely but is too expensive for the amount I get through.

I actually have found that B&B Pret a powder product is perfect for me and has massively reduced my dry shampoo use. Says is part dry shampoo and part styling product. I splashed out with my boots points and has lasted me absolutely ages. Now buying all nappies at boots to build up for next pot!!

Batiste is far and away the best I think.

Don't like the tinted ones or the XXL one though.

I like the XXL one. It makes my wispy fringe into an enourmo-quiff

I went to Boots yesterday and they exchanged the faulty Ojon for me without any issues whatsoever. Great service! So I'm giving it another chance.

Those styling products a couple of you mention sound quite interesting. I'll have a look at them when I've used the Ojon up (or it breaks, whatever happens first).
I have a massive can of Batiste as well, so I'll give it another go to see if it was something else that made my scalp itchy.

I use the Trevor Sorbie one - works a treat for me. I used to used Batiste but didn't like the smell and sometimes it left a slight powedery residue whereas the one I'm using now has given me no probs at all.
(And it was on offer at Boots - 2 cans for £8).
