Poolside/ daytime shoes advice for DH

So he wants loose fitting shoes but not keen on flip flops. Teenage daughter is adamant crocs are not an option. Can anyone advise?

My DH hates flip flops but likes his canvas toms a lot!

Dh has just bought some camper sandals which are intended to go "from the poolside to the buffet" (!)
