Where can I get some shorts?

I would like some navy shorts that are not tight or really short.
I would like them to come past mid-thigh, maybe to the knee.
I don't want denim.
I am not looking for "walking shorts" type, I have a pair of those already.
I just could do with a pair of "ordinary woman on holiday on a sunny day" kind of shorts.

But all the shops have sold out or only have shorts that are more like knickers!

I have the navy chino shorts from Next and they're great! But size down one, if not two, sizes.

Yes, Next and BHS have these. And Mango had them on sale last week, navy, just above knee but fabric a bit shiny.

I tried some on in Dorothy Perkins the other day but needed the next size down and they didn't have them in stock. Can't recall the price offhand but they weren't hugely expensive.

I got some from m&s. Navy chino shorts.

If you are size 14 + yours have some lovely linen mix ones, they're so comfortable and very cheap too.
