And I'm very excited Grin.

Hopefully the first to go will be my bikini and my underarm hair.

It's fabulous!

I can't use mine at the minute as I'm pregnant and I really miss it Sad

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 14:03

But why do you need to use it dotty, aren't you already hair-free and smooth?

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 14:05

I got the one that can be used on the face too, as I have a bit of a mo going on too Blush.

I bloody hate shaving, so I'm really excited about this. How quickly might I begin to see some results?

I've got the older one. My legs only need going once a year and not even my whole leg just my knees really.

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 15:31

I aspire to only having hairy knees Help Grin.

I dithered over it for ages.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 06/07/2014 15:41

Grin wasting, it's so much nicer than shaving all the time. I had to use it 5 or 6 times for there to be no re growth but worth it. Not attempted bikini line and not sure I will.

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 15:45

Oh, why not Help? I can't wait to use it on my bikini line.

I haven't told DH that I've bought it. Maybe I'll pretend that all of my body hair miraculously disappeared.

Does it work on fair hair and fair skin?

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 15:53

holly, I think that it works best on dark hair on fair skin. There's a table online somewhere that shows what it can be used on...

I am Envy

I was pulling out my card to buy one a week ago when I read they didn't work for everyone & unfortunately that means me.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 06/07/2014 16:41

I'm fair skinned and mid/dark hair. I found it worked well.

I've not done my bikini line with it as to be totally truthful for some reason I've never been overly hairy there. It doesn't poke out the side of my swimwear or underwear and us naturally quite tidy. It just grows long enough to plait Wink so I have one of those Philips lady hair trimmers and that's fine. I don't have growth on my upper thighs or groin.

andsmile · 06/07/2014 17:12

Revelations - never knew such a thing existed yay gods I'll be buying one of these as soon as I err pay a littel bit off.

I suffer terribly around my bikini area - it has extended and spread. I can have real problems with regrowth too. it can interfere with taking kids swimming if I am not able to shave so soon after because its all red bumps.

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 18:17

Ah Help, I think I'm fair skinned with mid / dark hair too... I'm really excited, I hate having to shave my underarms every day in summer.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 06/07/2014 19:47

Good luck! Hope it works for you Grin

FrazzleRock · 06/07/2014 19:56

Does it work if you have PCOS? I had professionally done laser hair removal, it worked on my tummy (though, a couple of years later, I now get fluffy hairs, which is better than the course stubble I had). It worked on my face, but they've come back in full force the last few months, and have spread down my neck Shock Sad. I'm told I'm fighting against hormones, so not sure if anything will work for good...
Is this worth it, to avoid all the shaving and plucking every day?

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 20:03

Oh Frazzle, that must be hard. I hope you find something that works for you Smile.

FrazzleRock · 06/07/2014 20:32

Hopefully this, Wasting. but wanted to see if it's worth it before I start saving my pennies! Smile

MissWimpyDimple · 06/07/2014 20:46

I bought one a few weeks ago too and so far so good! Have done my bikini line and pits and regrowth is already slow and fluffy.

I'm holding off on doing the mo, as you have to be careful about sun exposure afterwards so now isn't the right time of year.

I'm loving it so far!

MissWimpyDimple · 06/07/2014 20:48

Frazzle, my hair (although it's not too bad) is also hormonal and this does work, but probably not permanently. It might mean dealing with it weekly or fortnightly though so maybe that would be worth it anyway?

WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 21:06

I'm going to try it tomorrow night bus it tricky? Is there a knack?

OP posts:
WastingMyYoungYears · 06/07/2014 21:06

Confused I don't know why it says bus in the middle of my last post.

Onetwothreeoops · 06/07/2014 21:11

I've just bought one of these and have used it once so far. The flash is really bright and it does recommend that you use it in daylight somewhere in the bumf and I could see why.

I really hope this works for me but I haven't noticed any difference yet, I'm hoping it's too soon to tell.

Keep us updated!

efeslight · 06/07/2014 21:46

Have almost bought one a few times...I also had laser hair removal on my stomach probably 10/15 years ago, and even now there is much less growth.
My legs are very hairy and it grows back so quickly.
But it just seems like so much money...should I take the plunge??

whethergirl · 06/07/2014 21:50

I want to get one of these, although I was going to go for 'Tria' brand - can't remember why now, seemed like a better choice after the research. But won't bother now until after the Summer as I like to get a bit of sun.

MissWimpyDimple · 06/07/2014 22:35

It's very very easy to do. I don't have sensitive skin at all so I whack it up to the higher level and go for it. Armpits take about a minute for both. I can see that legs would take longer but I haven't tried that yet.

You are meant to use it every 2 weeks but I have to admit I've been going for it more often than that and I really saw a difference after about a week. I'm about 4 weeks in and so far I'm hooked.
